Jamie Fulk   Chief
 
  • Chief Fulk graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Fire Protection Technology from Guilford Technical Community College in 2002. He then went on to pursue his Bachelor’s of Science degree at Fayetteville State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Department Management. He also attended the National Fire Academy for four years in Emmitsburg Maryland, where he graduated with the prestigious Executive Fire Officer Certificate.
  • Chief Fulk currently holds the seat of President, of the Eastern Carolina Firefighters Association.

Jack Manley   Deputy Chief
Deputy Chief Manley  
  • Deputy Chief Manley has attended the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg Maryland where he has received Leadership and Fire Service Management training for continued career development and Improvement. He is near completion of an AAS in Fire Protection Technology from Coastal Carolina Community College and plans to attend Fayetteville State University in pursuit of a BS in Fire Science with a concentration in Fire Service Management.
  • Deputy Chief Manley is a member of the North Carolina Marine Fire Council and currently serves as Training Officer for the Morehead City Fire/EMS Department.

Dykeman Baily   Asst. Chief / Fire Marshal
 
  • Asst. Chief Baily has served the citizens of Morehead City for 35 years. Asst. Chief Baily serves as the Fire Marshal for the dept. and his current certifications include NC Firefighter III, NC Hazardous Materials Level I Responder [Hydro-carbon], NC Fire Inspector I, NC Level II Fire Instructor, and various National Fire Academy Courses.

Joe Fulcher   Captain
 
  • Captain Joe Fulcher has served Morehead City Fire and EMS Dept. for 46 years. His current certifications include NC Firefighter II, NC Hazardous Materials Level I Responder, and various National Fire Academy Courses.

  • Captain Hunnings has served Morehead City Fire and EMS Dept. for 11 years. His current certifications include NC Firefighter II, NC Fire Inspector Level I, NC Fire Officer Level I, NC Level II Fire Instructor, Marine Firefighter, NC Driver Operator Pumps & Aerials, and EMT-I.

Courtney Wade   Captain
 
  • Captain Wade began as a volunteer firefighter in 1995, joined the Morehead City Fire Department as a career Fire Specialist in 1999, promoted to Lieutenant in 2006, and Shift Captain in 2007. He holds an A.A.S. in Fire Protection Technology from Coastal Carolina Community College.  He holds many certifications including NC Fire Officer I, NC Fire Inspector I, NC Fire Instructor II, Haz Mat Instructor I, LP Gas Live Burn Instructor, Shipboard Firefighting Instructor, NFA STICO Instructor, NFA LODD Instructor, Fire Life Safety Educator II, Driver Operator Pumps/Aerial, Rescue Technician, Advanced Open Water Diver, USCG Master Licensed U.S. Merchant Marine Officer and EMT-B.

Terry Wadsley   Lieutenant
 
  • Lt. Wadsley has served the citizens of Morehead City for 21 years. He holds an A.A.S. in Emergency Medical Science; certifications include NC Firefighter II, NC Hazardous Materials Level I Responder, NC Level II Fire Instructor, NC Level II EMS Instructor, NC Technical Rescuer VMR, and Ropes.

  • Lt. Beck has served Morehead City Fire and EMS Dept. for 9 years. His current certifications include NC Firefighter II, NC Technical Rescuer-Confined Space and Ropes, NC Probationary Level I Fire Inspector.

James Strickland   Lieutenant

  • Lt. Strickland has served Morehead City Fire-EMS Dept. for 4 years.  His career began at Davie Volunteer Fire Dept. in November 2002.  He then worked as a Rescue Tech with Roanoke Valley Rescue from 2005 to 2007.  After receiving his Paramedic Certification, he went to work for Halifax County EMS in 2007 before joining Morehead City Fire-EMS in August 2008.  His education includes 2 years at East Carolina University and graduation from the Wilson Fire-Rescue Academy.   
  • Current certifications include EMT-Paramedic, EMT-Basic, Firefighter Level II, Haz-Mat Operations, Rescue Tech, EVD, EMS Level I Instructor, General Fire Level II Instructor, Fire Officer Level II, Driver/Operator Pumps, Marine Firefighting, ACLS, PALS, CPR Instructor, Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, Eagle Scout.

  • Lt. Gill has served Morehead City Fire and EMS Dept. for 23 years. Lt. Gill is a retired Asst. Chief from Atlantic Beach Fire Dept. His current certifications include NC Certified Fire Investigator, NC Firefighter III, NC Hazardous Materials Level I Responder [Hydro Carbon], NC Driver Operator Pumps, and various National Fire Academy courses.

  • Assistant Fire Marshal Robert N Stephens Jr. has 24 years in the fire service with 18 years devoted to being a career firefighter starting with the Beaufort Fire Dept. He left Beaufort as a Captain in 2005 to go to Morehead City Fire and EMS as a Fire EMS Specialist III.
  • Current certifications are NC Firefighter I & II, NC Driver Operator Pumps/Aerials, EMT-B, NC Hazardous Materials Level 1, NC Rescue Technician, Marine Firefighting, NC Fire & Life Safety Educator II, NC Fire Instructor II, NC Fire Inspector II, Probationary III, NC Fire Officer I, NC Fire Officer II and NFA courses for Arson Investigation.
