It is our department’s desire to provide a recreation experience designed to meet constructive and worthwhile goals of the individual participant, groups, and the community at large.

|2014 Spring Break Holiday Camp
The Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department sponsors a Spring Break Holiday Camp for students in grades K-6. This childcare program will be offered during the following dates: Mon. 4/21 – Fri., 4/25. Camp hours are 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. The camp fee for the week is $60 (residents) or $75 (non-residents).
Campers need to provide their lunches daily. Camp staff supervises recreational activities in the classroom, game room, gymnasium, and playground. For more information call 252-726-5083.
Easter Egg Hunt & Family 1 Mile Walk/Fun Run
Our Annual Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Rotary Park located at 2200 Mayberry Loop Road in Morehead City. The egg hunt activity areas are divided into three sections by the following age groups: 4 & under, 5-8, and 9-12. NO PETS PLEASE!
Following the Egg Hunt, bring the whole family to walk and/or run on the Rotary Park-O’Neal Field exercise trail. The 1 Mile Walk/Fun Run will begin at 10:00 a.m. and MCPRD staff will direct participants on the 1 mile course. This inaugural event promotes family wellness and pre-registration is not required for this event. Each family that completes the 1 mile circuit will receive a family prize pack. NO PETS or BIKES PLEASE!
