THE TOWN OF MOREHEAD CITY has a temporary, seasonal GROUNDS WORKER I position available. Duties include general landscaping; custodial work; and operating, maintaining, and repairing equipment. Valid, unrestricted NC Driver’s license is required, as well as any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience maintaining grounds and operating motorized equipment. Temporary position without benefits. $10.09 per hour. Work schedule approximately 40 hours per week; some weekend hours. The TOWN OF MOREHEAD CITY is recruiting for the position of FIRE-EMS SPECIALIST IV (Paramedic/FF). Duties include responding to emergency medical calls, providing basic and advanced life support emergency medical services; operating and maintaining vehicles and equipment, and general firefighting duties. Requirements include working knowledge of ambulances, emergency medical care equipment, and basic firefighting tools and procedures. Applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. EMT-Paramedic is preferred but will consider applicants with EMT-Intermediate certification–provided EMT-Paramedic Certification can be obtained within 6 months of employment. Must possess or be able to obtain within one (1) year of employment HAZMAT Level I certification and NFPA 1403 status. An unrestricted North Carolina Class B Drivers License is required. Hiring range is $32,732 to $35,249 depending upon qualifications. Excellent benefits package. Qualified applicants must be able to obtain OSHA-required respirator clearance.
